Privacy policy

Short version: forms collect only what you submit. The site also stores your light or dark theme preference in your browser, while our host records standard request logs.

What we collect

  • Newsletter — the email address you submit, and optionally the market you asked to follow.
  • Contact form — your name, email address, an optional company or mandi name, and your message.
  • Server logs — our host records standard request metadata such as IP address, user agent and requested path for operational and abuse-prevention purposes.

What we do not collect

  • No advertising or analytics trackers.
  • No cookies are set by this site.
  • The light or dark theme choice is stored locally in your browser under eggrate-theme. It is used only to restore the display preference and is not submitted with newsletter or contact forms.
  • No account is required and none is created.
  • No personal data is required to read any rate page.

Why we hold it

Email addresses are held for the single purpose of sending the daily rate email you asked for. Contact messages are held so we can reply and, where you have reported a rate error, so we can trace the correction. We do not sell, rent or share this data with third parties for marketing.

Where it is stored

Form submissions are stored in a managed database. Hosting, content delivery and that database are operated by third-party infrastructure providers, which process request data on our behalf under their own terms. Data may therefore be handled on servers outside your own country.

How long we keep it

Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Server logs are retained according to our host’s standard retention period.

Your choices

  • Every newsletter email carries an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately.
  • To see what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email [email protected] from the address in question. We action deletion requests within 30 days.
  • You can browse every rate page without submitting any personal data at all.

Where the rate data comes from

The wholesale egg prices published on this site are compiled from the daily price declarations of the National Egg Coordination Committee (NECC). Prices are shown per egg and converted to tray, hundred and peti at exact multiples. Each stored row also records the date it came from, so a page never presents an older price as though it were today’s.

Egg prices published by NECC are suggestive and not mandatory. They are released for the reference and information of the trade and industry, and NECC does not enforce compliance with them in any manner.

This is the single place on the site where that origin is stated. Rates are republished for information only, and are not a settlement price. If a figure looks wrong, report it through the contact form.

Children

This is a commodity price site with no content directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Substantive changes affecting subscribers will be announced in the daily email.
